(Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) will be back in all their gold-suited glory. Get there before 10 p.m., and admission is only $5, plus a free Bootie CD to the first 100 people through the door.

This event is known as the "Fourth of Jul-Ivar's" Independence Day celebration, held at Myrtle Edwards Park. Formerly known as Elliott Bay Park, the park is located along the Puget Sound from Pier 70 north to Interbay. Fireworks are set off over Elliott Bay, synchronized to majestic music. Beginning in 1964, Ivar's has presented and managed the free event. Celebration events include music on three stages, food booths, games and contests and more. The event is considered the largest privately sponsored fireworks celebration on the West Coast.
